It must be able to rotate the rear wheel and chain by foot pedal.
2. Positioning KETTENMAX
At an easily accessible point, connect upper and lower tank above the chain and secure with
O-ring/clip.
3. Securing KETTENMAX
Insert the stabiliser into the respective bores of
KETTENMAX and connect with
the cross strut.
4. KETTENMAX height adjustment
Adjust height of KETTEN- MAX by spring cotter at
the KETTENMAX-stabiliser
(straight running of the
chain must be ensured).
5. KETTENMAX spacer
Insert spacer into the
respective bores of KETTENMAX to support KETTENMAX.
When the chain runs
through, KETTENMAX is
supported by the bracket
of the rear derailleur.
You can shift gears during
cleaning and lubricating;
make sure to keep
derailleur bracket as
vertical as possible during
gear shifting (e.g. small
pinion gear at the pedal
spindle - large pinion at
the chain sprocket or vice
versa).

6. Cleaning the chain
Spray a controlled dose of cleaning agent (con-
ventional agent) into the box by means of spray bottle,
screw top with hose connection spout, connec- tion hose and
spray nozzle connection

Slowly turn the pedal (the chain will be drawn through
the KETTENMAX) to
ensure gentle overall cleaning.

7. Lubrication the chain
Spray a controlled dose of lubricant (conventional chain sprays or oils)
into the box via the lubrication adapter at the spray nozzle connection (top box
on the side of chain run-out) or drop itin via the oil bore of the
KETTENMAX.
Turn the pedal at the same time to ensure that the lubricant accurately coats
the cain and is evenly distributed by the brushes.
The chain must be dry to ensure optimum adhesion of the lubricant.
Contaminated cleaning solution and any excess lubricant
must be drained into a container and appropriately disposed
of in an environmentally friendly manner!
IMPORTANT!
After completion of cleaning and lubrication, remove distance bow, stabilization
bow and KETTENMAX (all used parts)!
